Having recently moved to the CSUS campus (RVR-5040) in the heart of California's capital city of Sacramento, the World Famous Asphalt Museum has re-opened it's doors for visitors! The museum contains the most select holdings of any asphalt museum in the WORLD, as well as temporary and touring exhibitions. Visiting hours are during the curator's office hours (see Scott's home page).

"Friends of the Asphalt Museum" is an organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enjoying the cultural and educational benefits of collecting asphalt. Members enjoy discounts on special events celebrating our asphalt heritage. Sign up on your next visit!

Tour highlights

• The most valuable holdings are currently old Route 66, and Hwy 1 (the Pacific Coast Highway). Other less noteworthy (but equally exciting) exhibits feature other highways from California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and now Italy and Australia!

• The prestigious Asphalt ART GALLERY.

• Visiting exhibits - Past exhibitions have included a road reflector from Stanford, and a piece of the Berlin Wall.
